chimes hello from my apartment in new york looking as crazy as it's probably ever looked i'll explain shortly first things first this video title is quite click-baity but i'm going to click bait titles so like let me just have this one i don't have a return ticket but i'm going for at least a month i fly out tomorrow morning the past 48 hours of my life have been absolutely crazy i celebrated my 25th birthday a little bit early hence the decorations in my apartment right now my birthday is actually in a few days i will be in paris celebrating but i figured even though birthdays stressed me out i would like have it as an excuse to kind of invite all my friends over before heading out to paris so i invited about 40 people to my apartment on friday it was so much fun i did not take a single photo or video the entire time i'm trying to like text my friends and be like did anybody document anything um so i can include something in this vlog but it was so much fun these little helpers they did it they did it all wow and now i have to pack and fly out to paris tomorrow are you kidding me basically this has been in the works for a minute two of my best friends gabby and ashley are coming with me we're going together they actually have normal jobs but they are work from home their lease literally ends today they're packing and moving their stuff in storage today and so all the stars just kind of aligned perfectly for us to basically go live together in paris for a little bit so i'm moving to paris with my best friends i will still have this apartment i'll still be coming back to this apartment late december the new year so i'm not leaving new york but i will be in paris for a little bit which i am so excited about we got a beautiful furnished apartment in the second round desmond which you'll see i hired a french tutor so i'll be doing some tutoring lessons and i'm basically just going to work on paris for a month because we all have job flexibility and we said if not now then when we ain't getting any younger life isn't going to be this flexible forever and so it just all kind of worked out i actually celebrated my 19th birthday in paris and now i'm gonna be celebrating my 25th birthday in paris the growth oh my gosh i guess i also celebrated the first four years of my life there but i don't remember that so this is crazy let's go to paris actually we have to pack let's pack first we currently have judge number one gabby number two hey guys we're spending the night singing to the airport tomorrow and i am slowly whittling away at the massive pile that was here ladies the final consensus cut we good morning from my chaotic room guys i think i did it everything is pretty much packed away so i think i think i'm ready to head out and run a few errands do some final work and then we're headed to paris passport wallet vaccine card keys but coats luggage sending us off do we made it it's a little chaotic showered changed clothes this is our first airbnb we're here for two nights and then we're headed to our proper spot where we're gonna be for a month guys ready first first moment i feel so much better after brushing my teeth lifesaver wish that you were we're losing our absolute mind i've seen the eiffel tower obviously many times but that just like took the breath out of me again she'd be hitting different this time look at the fall colors you kidding me oh my goodness a little update day one jet lagging we got some stuff from the grocery store and now we're gonna sit along the side have a cutie little picnic together we all got some little like fruit and bread and um i missed you i can't believe we're here for an entire like month five weeks just it's it has not said it i really think good morning how's it going here's the little fit hello for my first full day i'm about to head out to my first french tutoring lesson which i'm really nervous about i know very little french i'm attempting to learn don't expect my french to improve because that's too much pressure doesn't mean i'm going to be doing great so just i feel like if i set the bar extremely low that no one expects anything on me and that's really what i'm going for here but since i'm going to be in paris for a month i figured i would take some tutoring lessons each week to work on my french in person put myself very much out of my comfort zone because you know to learn a language you have to sound like an idiot and i definitely sound like an idiot at this phase that's for sure having my cup of coffee i'm taking my notes for like my homework and then gonna go to soho house paris later day to work which is nice because we're all gonna be working while here and it's nice to work there and then maybe get dinner there and i actually have a friend who still lives here from when i was in au pair here when i was 18 she was like the one person i kept in contact with and there's this like her friends having some like fashion exhibit or something so we might go to that so i think it's gonna be a very good first day let's go finished my little french lesson we got the gals in front of me first fresh lesson went good so far and now we're headed to seoul house to get some work done it actually just opened here during the last fashion week which should be fun to see person you're not allowed to film or take photos in there so it's gonna be a secret time i've been waiting for this moment for three years i've been i haven't had one since it's been seven years good morning we just moved from the airbnb we're staying at just for a night or two because we're waiting essentially to check into where we're staying for the month which is where we're at now we found this spot through haven inn they basically have these stunning luxury furnished rentals in different parts of europe like they have it in france as well as in italy believe and basically we're going to be working with them a little bit throughout this month and doing a bit of content creation for this gorgeous gorgeous space so we're renting from them we just got here and this is the most beautiful dream like apartment i cannot believe i'm gonna be here for a bit hello little tired little jet lag just got in let me show you guys around here is this stunning stunning living room i'm sorry do you see that view i love this little desk it feels very very broad sha but make it parisian-esque with the view out the window we're definitely gonna have friends in town or some people gonna hang out with we're so excited to have some dinner parties there's this really cute little like bar area back here ashley and gabby are the cooks so i'll probably be back in this area making some drinks i'm obsessed with the molding on the ceiling so stunning so i'll take you guys to the second bedroom back here a nice big sofa bed it's so comfy i'm probably gonna be sleeping here and then gabby and ashley will be showing the other room lots of space i'm excited to unpack i wake up in the morning to this view i love this as well such a cute little system so definitely we'll be playing music this gorgeous artwork oh my goodness we got ashley in the kitchen hello this kitchen is so gorgeous there's this cute little breakfast table here here's the master we have a bunch of our luggage in here the light right now oh my gosh so comfortable has a tv all this incredible storage for our stuff and then finally here's the bathroom this tub i die just your casual view hello from a few hours later i slowly unpacked everything and set everything up in the closet which is nice so i kind of feel like settled finally and i am just in shock that i'm in here like it hasn't fully set in we keep saying every day we're like is this really our lives for context to this is obviously a self-funded trip for all of us we've all been saving up to really make this work i'm really grateful too to finally be in a place in my life where i can do stuff like this i know ashley and gabby feel the same like it's nice to be like somewhat established in our different careers and industries and spaces to be able to like pull something like this off it's just crazy and the fact that i get to do with my best friends like i am extremely grateful right now the last time i was here for extended period of time was when i was in au pair and i was just like young and so incredibly broke and didn't know anybody so it's crazy to be here all these years later and have that juxtaposition of like the last time i was here and just like stayed in this person's like small extra bedroom and was wandering around all day by myself and just like eating one dollar baguettes whereas now i'm like oh i get to stay in this beautiful apartment with people i really love and it's just like it's such a beautiful journey to be able to look back on grateful for you guys this wouldn't be possible if i wasn't able to do this incredible job i will definitely be vlogging so stay
