yeah Friday I didn't vlog all day today so I figured I would start right now I love doing weekend vlogs in New York and haven't done one a little bit so I figured it was time to bring it back so friends are hosting a 1920s themed party and have a fun night out together here's the weekend with me in Newark hold up I almost forgot before I finish getting ready here I have a very exciting like I'm from the 20 it's important it's our first place with New York I'm in so many years oh good morning happy Saturday I'm currently getting ready and trying to find that sweet spot between being productive and finding joy and being productive but also not freaking out about taking time for yourself and not having a to-do list all the time you can really take some time for yourself this weekend it's been interesting being back since being in California things have shifted a bit like certain roommates moving out and other people are moving in it's like just a season or ever excited to take way more time for myself and invest in like really close friendships and not spread myself too thin hopefully pretty cold and gloomy outside which honestly I'm all for I get major sunshine FOMO like if it's pretty outside I need to be outside or else I feel like I'm wasting the day so I'm honestly really excited just kind of take a me day but I'm about to go grab lunch with my or myself I was like 2019 came to a close I was kind of trying to brainstorm on what I want my channel to look like moving forward I was thinking me really fun to do some type of like episodic series where every month there's a new episode coming out and I still make like regular videos alongside it but it's something that I can you know dig more time into work harder at making more you know exciting professional and I've been 20 rounded a couple ideas for what that might look like I'm most excited about is a bucket list series of sort I'm not gonna weigh too many details yet but I'll probably be posting a video in the next few weeks kind of detailing what I hope to do I asked a May Instagram story a few weeks ago asking how I influenced you guys as viewers the origin thing was that my have helped some of you guys push yourself out of your comfort zone when it comes to traveling solo or doing a new job or moving in a new city etc and that for one was so cool for me to hear because that's something that I really have pushed for in my own life it means a lot that some of my little actions have maybe inspired you to change the way that you do certain things in your life kind of jumping off that I thought bucket list series of sorts could be cool but I got not gonna jump in to do any details a video will be coming as soon as I could try to figure out exactly how I want it to look hopefully by saying this nobody steals my idea in the meantime I'm gonna finish getting ready and get changed and let's head over to Soho alright here is my little fit at the moment I've got this Levi's jacket on right now this shirt I actually rented from newly which is like a clothing rental spot jeans are Levi's and then here are the sneaks I honestly really like him what this like why it's late look here's the look time to go oh hi good morning um I need to get ready I'm running late I'm about to head out to brunch with some friends natty bar boo who is youtuber here in the lovely land of you do organize like a fun little brunch for some other internet gals to get together which I think will be really fun cuz there's some people that I've been like friends with via like Instagram series but haven't actually really gotten to meet in person yet so should be good and then I think I'm just gonna take a chill day like she was seeing my friend Gabby and now I'm gonna chill day I'm just taking the rest of day myself and this will kind of bop around and just hang out here so just had the lovely brunch and met some new friends which was so good and I'm just kind of walking around the West Village let's do music enjoying the day I meet some more friends for coffee and then take the rest of day for myself I'm just kind of like hunted elk yes like if you're coming to Neill definitely going to highly recommend Barry hi how's it going I feel like any time I have like a few moments to just really think and reflect my mind immediately jumps into the future and the answer to you at all like that's just where my head goes and the lack of like a clear vision of where I wanna be or what I want to do you know which is overwhelming as like a confused 20-something in the world but I got a comment on my Fashion Week video so I'm being like oh I really missed the old Ilana like the California line I like I feel like that was more her true self my first thought was like Oh am I like losing myself being in New York and it just was such a distinctive shift from really going this from this very simple beachy little lifestyle to full swing New York City like business yeah I don't know maybe my time here is me actually finding myself and who I want to be moving forward like I don't know who I fully am or who I want to be but I guess that's what this jury is all about it's figuring it out I feel like sometimes it can be hard to reconcile two very different lifestyles that you're interested in people have a hard time finding similarities to the two but I think that's part of the beauty of life is you know being a vast mixture of all these different things we want be and want to try out I mean I know that's something I'm huge on why I want to live so many lives in one maybe that's just me being like a young 23 year old feeling like there's so much life to be lived and there's so many things I want to do and you know struggling to commit to like one thing or another niggle is to constantly be changing and evolving and trying new things and hopefully growing we're all such a big composite of these different things that have formed us in the past of the present and you know moments to come I feel like it can be easy to like want to latch on to one identity or to allow others to place a label on you because it is easier in a sense it's easier to just have something to feel like you can identify you it towards like the culture community we're in or the career or the goals that were sparring to in the future or the way that the people around us see us as a way is forming our own identity when in reality we're just like at this beautiful conglomerate I guess that's what makes it basically I don't know who I want to be and I'm still figuring that
